In at number one is Con Calma by Daddy Yankee. This has notched up an impressive 1.16 billion views since its release in January. The news provider noted that a remix of this song with Katy Perry also grabbed 59 million views.
What’s interesting is that all the songs in the top four are performed wholly or partially in Spanish.
Ariana Grande’s 7 Rings, which comes in at number five, is the only song on the list that’s performed entirely in English. It’s had 484 million views since its release.
There’s a complete lack of any European artists in the top ten, with the top two from Puerto Rico, while South Korean K-Pop bands Blackpink and BTS with Halsey are in at sixth and eighth place respectively.
